Our Mission

Googols of Learning is dedicated to providing a high-quality learning environment that provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive setting for young children to grow and learn using a curriculum that enhances the social, intellectual, physical, and emotional development of each child served, while setting the standard in early childhood education.

Policies and Practices

Providing a safe environment for children, teachers, and staff is our top priority. We strive to treat your children as if they were our own - with the same level of attentiveness and care. We want you to have peace of mind while your child is at Googols of Learning, which is behind some of our policies and practices detailed below. To learn more, reach out or check out our FAQS.

Commitment to Anti-Bias Education

We are strongly committed to creating an anti-bias community. Through a developmentally- and age-appropriate lens, we work with children to increase awareness of biases and to normalize conversations about issues of identity, diversity, fairness, and acceptance. We continuously work to equip children with the foundational skills to recognize unfairness and to stand up for others as well as for themselves.

We are deliberate in our presentation of these issues to children. We talk about gender, ability, race, language, family structure and class and we work to send the message that we are the same, yet different, and that we value diversity among children, adults, and families. Sometimes teachers will offer intentional activities and sometimes discussions will arise organically based on what children bring up in class. Through teacher training and anti-bias education materials in the classroom, we commit to providing an environment that is welcoming and fair to all.

Safe & Secure Environment

We prioritize security measures to create a protected space for children, staff, and families.

- Limited building access through a single, keypad-locked front door.

- Thorough background checks for all staff members.

- Evacuation plans posted in every room.

- Routine fire and emergency drills to ensure preparedness.

Physical Well-Being

We take active measures to promote safety and movement throughout the day.

- Age-separate playgrounds for safe outdoor play.

- Indoor climber for play during inclement weather.

- Strict adherence to state mandated child-to-teacher ratios based on age.

Health & Hygiene

A clean and healthy environment is essential for growing mind and bodies.

- Nutritious meals and snacks served daily (morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack), prepared on-site in a peanut/tree nut-free kitchen.

- Frequent handwashing to prevent spread of germs and illnesses.

- Fogger used to spray fine mist of disinfectant around classrooms, daily, at closing, to reduce the spread of viruses and bacteria.

- Air purification systems -Four exterior units throughout common areas of the building and in-duct systems within each HVAC unit to ionize and purify all air circulating through the classrooms.

- Daily cleaning and sanitization of classroom furniture and toys.

Two-Way Communication

We use the Tadpoles app to provide real time communication to our families:

• Instant messaging between parents and teachers for daily communication

• Daily report of your child’s lesson plans in notes, pictures, and videos with updates of meals, naps, diaper/potty times

• Real-time school-wide notifications (e.g., reminders of school closings, class parties, etc.)

• Additional resources for enrichment
